Phoenix Kestrel 3000 Multi-Meter—all the information

The
Kestrel 3000 Multi-Meter is a unique hand-held multi-purpose
meter that is not only pocket sized but also user friendly.
With its air flow operation mode options, the Kestrel 3000
allows you to calculate the current, maximum and average
air flow, and has the added ability to display each one
in different measuring methods (i.e., knots, meters per
second, kilometers per hour, miles per hour, feet per minute
and Beaufort). Temperature, wind chill, heat stress and
dew point temperature can be displayed in both C° and
F°. Relative humidity is expressed as a percentage.
The
Kestrel 3000 measures air flow with a large diameter precision
ultralight impeller which turns on sapphire bearings, providing
excellent accuracy (+/- 3%) and the ability to measure the
slightest breeze (0.3 M/S). The impeller and protective
housing pop out without tools for easy and inexpensive replacement.
For
temperature readings, the Kestrel uses an external thermistor
for fast response and accuracy of +/- 4° F. The capacitive
humidity sensor is factory calibrated to +/- 3% accuracy.
Heat stress measurements are accurate to +/- 3% and dew
point temperature to +/- 2°. Wind chill, heat stress
and dew point temperature are automatically calculated.
The
hard slip-on case protects the Kestrel 3000's reflective
LCD display, tactile rubber buttons, and large diameter
impeller from damage. The user replaceable coin cell battery
provides 300 hours of use. To insure long battery life the
Kestrel also features an “auto shutdown” mode
that turns your meter off 30 minutes after the last key
is pressed. The Kestrel 3000 is covered by a full one-year
warranty and is protected by US patent No. 5, 753,784.
